Craig Moore shares verdict on 'massive' Rangers summer rebuild amid Michael Beale transfer comments
Rangers TV pundit Craig Moore believes just two players in Michael Beale’s squad are safe from a potential summer exodus ahead of a “massive” summer rebuild.
The Gers are set for a significant summer of change in player personnel after a trophy-less 2022/23 season was confirmed following Sunday’s bitterly disappointing 1-0 defeat to arch-rivals Celtic in the Scottish Cup.
Talking after the game, Beale claimed he is looking at a significant change during the off-season, with a number of players coming into the club and several players also potentially leaving.
Players such as out-of-contract stars Ryan Kent and Alfredo Morelos are set to leave the club, with many other expected to follow them out the Ibrox exit door.
And Moore, speaking to The Go Radio Football Show [2 May] believes only Todd Cantwell and Nicolas Raskin are “safe” from a potential firesale at Ibrox this summer, seeing as they only joined in January.
He said: “I think there’s a rebuild (needed), there’s no doubt about that. I think you’re going to be talking around the double-figure mark (incoming).

“I don’t think outwith Raskin and Cantwell, I don’t think you can say that any player is safe at Rangers in regards to if a financial offer comes in.
“The players that are out of contract, I don’t think they’ll stay otherwise there would already have been discussions.
“So there is a massive rebuild.”
Beale has certainly laid down his intentions. It’s clear the defeat against Celtic on Sunday didn’t sit right with anyone associated with Rangers football club.
The fixtures against Celtic under Beale’s management have majorly highlighted the gulf in class, quality and strategies of both teams with the Hoops possessing all the ingredients needed of challenging on all fronts, while Rangers still possess players who have one eye out the Ibrox exit door even before the season comes to a close.
This will be a huge summer of change for the Gers – arguably the biggest they will endure for a long while and Beale desperately needs to get his outgoings right as much as any potential outgoings.
Kent and Morelos are sure to be out the exit door and as many as around 10 players could be following them which means it could take some time – well into pre-season – before Beale can potentially possess a squad he is happy with.
Moore is absolutely right, the only players safe from the chop are Cantwell and Raskin seeing as they were recruited in January – and arguably James Tavernier too who has been the Gers’ bright light this season.
In other Rangers news, alarm bells are ringing loudly for this player at Ibrox after what was said on social media.
