Rangers injury news as Nicolas Raskin remains worry v Celtic – Pundit
Brian Laudrup has insisted that Nicolas Raskin is the main Rangers injury worry ahead of the Celtic clash on Saturday 08 April at Parkhead.
Writing for the Scottish Daily Mail [04 April, pg 70], the great Dane insisted that the Belgian maestro would need to be flying in training to start the game.
Raskin missed the latest international break to work on his fitness but was still not ready for the 2-0 win over Dundee United last time out at Ibrox.

He wrote: “Nicolas Raskin seems to be the main fitness worry and I think – given what happened previously with returning players – he would have to be absolutely flying in training to get a start.
“Let’s see.”

Worry.
Laudrup is spot on with this call about Raskin. Even at this fledgling stage of his Rangers career, he is an important figure for Michael Beale’s team and the collective midfield unit will be much stronger if he can prove his fitness for Saturday.
In February’s League Cup final, the manager chose not to throw in Raskin and Todd Cantwell but that won’t happen this time around. On that occasion, Beale started Malik Tillman after an injury lay-off so he won’t hesitate to recall the Belgian as long he is fit to feature.
Cantwell and Tillman underlined their attacking credentials in last weekend’s win over Dundee United. The duo will be central to any chances of getting a result at Parkhead but it is important that Rangers find a balance of stability and solidity, in going head-to-head with Celtic.
At this stage, it would appear that Ryan Jack will feature alongside the former Norwich man in the engine room with John Lundstram ready to play if Raskin is unable to start.
In other Rangers news, a development at Ibrox worth nearly £2million to the club has come out on Monday evening
