Rangers win race to sign attacker Thompson Ishaka
Rangers have completed the signing of in-demand attacker Thompson Ishaka who was linked with Manchester City and Chelsea.
The 18-year-old made a name for himself on social media as footage surfaced of him showing his speed and close control for the Gers B team.
According to the Daily Record in February, the Premier League giants were also keeping tabs, but he’s now a Rangers player and has signed a deal until 2025.
Via Twitter, Rangers B and Academy wrote, “RangersFC is delighted to announce the signing of Thompson Ishaka until summer 2025.”
Good move
He’s proven himself for the B team so it made sense for the club to do everything they could in order to convince him to sign.

It surely would not have been easy as there are other clubs keen on signing him but they will now have to look elsewhere with him putting pen to paper.
He’s shown plenty of promise at a very young age and while fans will be excited to see him play for the first team, it makes sense to give him some time to adapt.
It’s surely a high-pressure move signing for a club as big as Rangers and there will be some intrigue even when he features for the reserves.
Manchester City and Chelsea are two of the best clubs in the United Kingdom in terms of identifying young talents so there certainly must be something to him that made them show an interest.
Hopefully, the club take their time with him and ensure he develops properly without rushing him into the senior setup.
In other Rangers news, another Ibrox exit may be on the cards after a major revelation last week which could force the clubs to part ways with a senior player.
