David Edgar shares 'Truth' on Ridvan Yilmaz Rangers exit rumours amid Besiktas links
Official club partner Heart and Hand podcast say there is “zero truth” in speculation that Ridvan Yilmaz is set to leave Rangers and re-join Besiktas on loan this summer.
Yilmaz joined the club in a £4m deal last summer but has made only seven appearances due to Borna Barisic being preferred and also injury problems.
Reports from Turkish outlet Fanatik on Friday (17 March) claimed a deal had been agreed for the 21-year-old to return to Besiktas on loan for next season, but according to David Edgar these reports are false.
“Zero truth in reports suggesting Yilmaz has been loaned to Besiktas for next season,” they wrote on their official Twitter account (17 March).
“Michael Beale is very keen on him.”

Yilmaz has had a really tough start to his career as a Rangers player at Ibrox, because despite Giovanni Van Bronckhorst spending big money on him he just couldn’t get in the side.
After his sacking Michael Beale came in, but Yilmaz only recently returned to action following an injury picked up before the World Cup and has yet to be given a full run out at left-back with Borna Barisic in really good form.
But the Croatian is currently 30-years-old and will be entering the final year of his contract at Ibrox this summer, meaning there should be a decision about his long-term future made.
However, that decision shouldn’t really be made without Yilmaz being given an opportunity to put his case forward to become the next first-choice left-back at the club and agreeing a deal in advance for the summer before that has happened would just be bizarre.
Thankfully it’s not true right now, and fans can look forward to Yilmaz getting his opportunity between now and the end of the season before becoming a future first-team player.
In other Rangers news, the club are ready to sign off on a first-team deal for the summer already as approach made.
