Malik Tillman to be next Rangers midfield signing for £5m – Mark Wilson
Rangers midfielder Malik Tillman is looking a “real bargain” at £5million and must be Michael Beale’s next permanent signing, according to Scottish Daily Mail journalist Mark Wilson.
Beale’s arrival at the club has seen the 20-year-old American put in a string of impressive performances as he scored his sixth Scottish Premiership goal of the campaign in the 3-0 win over Hearts on Wednesday night [1 February] and it’s believed the new boss is eager to make the attacking midfielder’s move permanent.
It is understood that the Gers want to secure Tillman on a permanent agreement once his loan deal expires in the summer [The Athletic, 25 January].

German BILD journalist Christian Falk revealed [14 September] that the Light Blues have the option to buy Tillman for £5m-£6m when his loan agreement eventually comes to a close.
And journalist Wilson, writing for Scottish Daily Mail [2 February, pg 75] believes it is a potential deal that the Gers must make permanently as its “representing a bargain”.
He said: “Tillman must be the next midfielder signed at Ibrox on a permanent basis. A set fee in the region of £5million – if reports in the German media are to be believed – has every chance of representing a bargain at the 20-year-old’s current level of development under Michael Beale.”
Superb player
The 20-year-old playmaker has undergone a stark and rapid development under Beale’s tenure with the former Queens Park Rangers manager providing with more a refined and dynamic advanced role in the Rangers midfield.
The American’s movement, intricate technical skills and unique abilities both in the final third and in front of goal certainly makes him a complete package at Ibrox, and it is why the Gers must continue to build around him.

Tillman is a Bayern Munich talent for a reason. And £5million is an absolute bargain indeed considering the current state of the transfer market.
With Beale already undergoing an impressive rebuild job for the future, Tillman must be central to any ambitions the club has beyond this summer. It is a deal that the club must get done fairly quickly. What a superb player.
