Eilidh Barbour shares what she heard Rangers fans do at Fir Park from Sky Sports studio

Eilidh Barbour heard how unhappy Rangers fans were with their first-half performance against Motherwell at Fir Park on Sunday afternoon.

Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s men were woeful in the first half and barely tested Motherwell goalkeeper Liam Kelly.

It was slow, frustrating performance and at the break, Barbour spoke about the murmurs of discontent from the away end at Fir Park with the Sky Sports studio in close proximity.

Speaking at half time on Sky Sports Main Event (16 October, 12:54pm), Barbour said: “This will suit Motherwell a lot more than it will suit Rangers.

“We are quite close to the Rangers fans here and we can hear that there has been a frustrating coming from the stands.”

James McFadden replied: “Of course. Motherwell are still in the game and they can play better. Of course it suits them.”

Time to go?

Van Bronckhorst is quickly losing his support among the Rangers fanbase.

While we won at Motherwell, it was a less than convincing performance and we could have easily drawn or even lost that game due to the lack of quality.

Malik Tillman only got his goal due to Motherwell’s rotten defending while the only real show of proper class was John Lundstram’s movement before he headed in his goal.

Stuart McKinstry’s goal for Motherwell was a fluke but it even showed that there are issues with Allan McGregor in goal – he’s not perfect.

This squad isn’t good enough.

While that isn’t completely van Bronckhorst’s fault, the fact he continues to press on with Ryan Kent and Borna Barisic on the left-hand side is embarrassing.

He doesn’t have many other options because the recruitment is so bad but this side should be doing better than they are.

In other Rangers news, an official partner of the Gers has called on the board to sack van Bronckhorst and Ross Wilson.
