Rangers must find winger solution after same problem persists
Rangers might have got back to winning ways on Saturday at home to Dundee United but things are far from rosy at Ibrox.
Giovanni van Bronckhorst has Croatian striker Antonio Colak to thank for a brace on his 29th birthday to see off the Tangerines’ challenge who got a consolation goal themselves.
But the Dutchman will have gone back home scratching his head once again at one persistent problem that he just can not fix at the moment no matter what he tries.
That issue comes from his wingers who have all been virtually useless for much of the season with the central players and full-backs shining brightest so far.
Ryan Kent is the main man on the left but his form is dropping off worryingly fast and he has seemed to lose the spark that makes him tick but it’s even worse on the right-hand side.
As The Athletic highlight, six players have appeared on the right flank so far this season and none of them have been able to keep their spot in the side.

Rabbi Matondo, Fashion Sakala, Scott Wright, Scott Arfield, Tom Lawrence and Malik Tillman have all had the chance to impress with only Tillman looking reasonable with a couple of crucial goals.
The former was signed as the final piece of the jigsaw this summer but couldn’t even make the squad against Dundee United with Arfield preferred to play.
Rangers can’t afford to have these kinds of holes with nobody to fill them and no excuses to use either now that the transfer window is shut because it will be months before they could theoretically solve it.
By then, the Premiership title and Champions League campaigns could be well and truly over in terms of success which would leave the Light Blues once again relying on the Scottish Cup to provide silverware.
In other Rangers news, this BBC pundit was in awe of the way Colak bagged the first of his brace on Saturday.
