Rangers Champions League draw sparks immediate reaction from World's Strongest Man
Rangers found out their three group stage opponents for the Champions League on Thursday and it served up a tasty looking quartet.
The Light Blues were in pot four of the draw which meant they were one of the last teams to be pulled out of the perspex bowl and put into group A.
That set up two games (one home and away) against Premier League and Champions League runners-up Liverpool, Dutch champions Ajax and Italian underdogs Napoli.
World’s Strongest Man Tom Stoltman, an avid Rangers supporter, was delighted with the draw and took to Twitter to say, “Yasss bring them on,” in an instant reaction to the news.
Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s side earned their spot in the 32 thanks to a sensational win away at PSV Eindhoven where Antonio Colak scored the crucial goal to sink Ruud van Nistelrooy’s outfit.

The three clubs may have more recent Champions League experience than Rangers but none of them will be looking forward to a trip to Ibrox after what they saw the Gers do in the Europa League last season.
Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig, who are both in other Champions League groups, saw how the raucous Scottish atmosphere can make Rangers a formidable opponent for anyone and the same will be true when Liverpool Napoli and Ajax come to town.
Jurgen Klopp’s side will be particularly worried with that England versus Scotland rivalry adding that extra sprinkling of spice to the occasion if it even needs it.
If van Bronckhorst’s troops can pick up the odd point on the road in either Merseyside, Amsterdam or Naples then the home form could be enough to see the Gers qualify for the knockout stages and after last season’s heroics, anything is possible once the Bears get there.
In other Rangers news, Alfredo Morelos has posted an uplifting image on Twitter despite a controversial week for the Colombian.
