Tottenham join Rangers in pursuit of wonderkid Oscar Gloukh as £10m development emerges
Rangers have been joined by Tottenham in the race to sign Israeli wonderkid Oscar Gloukh this summer, according to the Sunday Mirror.
The newspaper reported on 10 July (page 74) that the Gers are interested in signing the 18-year-old attacking midfielder, who’s making waves in Israel with Maccabi Tel Aviv.
It is understood that Tel Aviv want £10million “all-in” for the Israel Under-21s international, who’s also wanted by Roma, Borussia Dortmund and Ajax.
Tottenham, however, reportedly believe they are winning the race for Gloukh’s signature.

Joe Aribo’s £10million move to Southampton has certainly improved the situation regarding incomings because Antonio Colak and Tom Lawrence have both arrived at Ibrox in the last few days.
It seems as though Schalke and Wales forward Rabbi Matondo could be next while Gloukh would also be a top signing to add to Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s midfield.
Gloukh is an attacking midfielder who can also play in a central role.
He’s got limited senior experience as last season, he played just 10 times in all competitions for Maccabi Tel Aviv and they were his first 10 senior appearances too.
He scored three times, however in his eight league appearances for Tel Aviv, who finished third in the league, and two of those goals came against eventual Israeli champions Maccabi Haifa.
We definitely need to add some youthful exuberance to the side.
Nathan Patterson was sold to Everton while Amad Diallo’s loan isn’t likely to be renewed.
Steven Davis, Allan McGregor and Scott Arfield have all, however, been offered new contracts.
Our squad is ageing and an in-demand wonderkid like Gloukh could be exactly what we need.
