Joe Aribo’s £10million move to Southampton has certainly improved the situation regarding incomings because Antonio Colak and Tom Lawrence have both arrived at Ibrox in the last few days.

It seems as though Schalke and Wales forward Rabbi Matondo could be next while Gloukh would also be a top signing to add to Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s midfield.

Gloukh is an attacking midfielder who can also play in a central role.

He’s got limited senior experience as last season, he played just 10 times in all competitions for Maccabi Tel Aviv and they were his first 10 senior appearances too.

He scored three times, however in his eight league appearances for Tel Aviv, who finished third in the league, and two of those goals came against eventual Israeli champions Maccabi Haifa.

We definitely need to add some youthful exuberance to the side.

Nathan Patterson was sold to Everton while Amad Diallo’s loan isn’t likely to be renewed.

Steven Davis, Allan McGregor and Scott Arfield have all, however, been offered new contracts.

Our squad is ageing and an in-demand wonderkid like Gloukh could be exactly what we need.
