Rangers fans in passionate response after Aaron Ramsey announcement in Hampden

Rangers fans gave a loud cheer when Aaron Ramsey’s name was read by the announcers ahead of the final against Hearts.

Gers won the final 2-0 in extra time and Giovanni van Bronckhorst chose not to name the Wales international in the starting eleven for this one.

He was an unused substitute in the game but it was clear that the Gers fans had no bad blood towards him after the penalty miss against Frankfurt in the Europa League.

Football Scotland shared the footage on Twitter and wrote, “Loud cheers inside Hampden as Aaron Ramsey’s name is announced along the Rangers subs.”

Good to see

It’s never easy being the one whose penalty costs the entire team a trophy.

But that’s why the players are paid the big bucks and mistakes happen from even the best of them.

It would’ve nice to see Ramsey come off the bench as there’s a very good chance we do not see him in a Rangers jersey ever again.

However, Giovanni van Bronckhorst chose to keep him on the bench and he knows best why he decided to do so.

At least, with the extra time victory, the Bears ensured that they did not end the season trophyless as it would’ve been extremely painful.

Losing the title to Celtic and the Europa League final on penalties is two heavy blows that aren’t for the faint hearted.

We’re sure this team will bounce back next season and we really cannot wait for the action to unfold.

In other Rangers news, the club are ‘not convinced’ by a key first-team player and an early termination of his contract is extremely likely.
