Sky Sports pundit gushes over 'Phenomenal' Rangers ace Joe Aribo ahead of RB Leipzig clash

Kevin Thomson has been blown away by Rangers ace Joe Aribo who has been omnipresent for the club this season.

Speaking to the Scottish Sun, in an article that labels him “Superhuman”, the Sky Sports pundit was astounded by the number of games he’s played this term.

With 63 games for club and country, the Nigerian has turned out more than any other player on the planet this season.

Thomson said, “With Alfredo Morelos and Roofe out injured, Joe provided that physicality up front against Leipzig. His performance in the second half was brilliant under the circumstances.

“There is every chance he’ll be asked to perform that role again. The manager has faith in him to do that job and I’m sure he will come up with the goods.

“The phenomenal number of games he has played so far highlights just how important he is to Rangers and Nigeria.”

Some player

Aribo undoubtedly is a player who keeps getting better with time.

Last season, he was sensational under Steven Gerrard, even playing as a left-back under the now Aston Villa manager.

However, this term, he seems to have taken his game to the next level for both club and country.

Despite the high volume of games he plays for club and country, he still has relatively managed to stay fit which speaks about just how much work he puts in to stay injury free.

Hopefully, he plays a big role in the game against RB Leipzig as Giovanni van Bronckhorst will be counting on him to deliver here.

He did well in the Old Firm as well so there’s a good chance he continues his fine run of form into the Europa League clash as well.

In other Rangers news, the club are ‘not convinced’ by a key first-team player and an early termination of his contract is extremely likely.
