Moussa Dembele mocks Rangers fans after Old Firm derby defeat
Former Celtic striker Moussa Dembele has mocked Rangers on social media following their 2-1 defeat in the Old Firm derby on Sunday.
The light blues took an early lead through Aaron Ramsey but first-half goals from Tom Rogic and Cameron Carter-Vickers saw the visitors take all three points and open up a six-point lead at the top of the table.
After the final whistle Dembele jumped on Twitter to rub salt in the wounds as he mocked Bears fans, calling the result ‘usual stuff’.
“Well done Bhoys, Glasgow green and white. Usual stuff on derby day I mean,” he said, following the tweet with three laughing emojis and a video of a man laughing uncontrollably.
The result all but ended the club’s hopes of back-to-back Scottish Premiership titles, and now attentions turn to the Europa League clash with Braga on Thursday.
Ouch
The result will be painful and has essentially ended their hopes of becoming champions again, but this type of stuff on social media is going to be hard to take.
Fans give their all to the club and after being six points clear themselves at the start of the year following the winter break, they’re now questioning how it’s all gone wrong.

Dembele’s tweet hasn’t crossed any lines and is exactly what Rangers fans would be doing if the result had gone the other way, so it’s something they have to simply just swallow.
The best way for the team and the fans to be able to get one back now is to win the Scottish Cup semi-final in a couple of weeks against Celtic and go on to win the Europa League, to really overshadow their accomplishments.
The title campaign is all but over, but the season is far from done and there is still plenty to look forward to.
