Six changes by van Bronckhorst - Rangers predicted XI v Livingston

Giovanni van Bronckhorst is predicted to make six changes to his starting line-up for Rangers’ Scottish Premiership clash with Livingston at Ibrox on Wednesday night.

After winning 4-0 against Stirling Albion on Friday in the Scottish Cup, van Bronckhorst is expected to revert to a more similar team, albeit with a few notable absentees.

Joe Aribo’s Nigeria has just been knocked out of the Africa Cup of Nations and it seems unlikely that he’ll jet back to Glasgow and instantly feature in the starting line-up versus Livi. Ryan Kent is suspended while doubts surround the fitness of Ianis Hagi and Scott Arfield.

Allan McGregor, Borna Barisic, Glen Kamara, James Sands, Scott Wright and Alfredo Morelos are all expected to return to the starting line-up.

Van Bronckhorst may decide to leave out Jon McLaughlin, John Lundstram, Cedric Itten, the injured Hagi and exit-linked duo Jack Simpson [Scottish Sun] and Brandon Barker [Glasgow Evening Times].

That means we expect McGregor to start in goals with a familiar-looking back-four of James Tavernier, Connor Goldson, Balogun and Barisic.

Kamara may sit deep in the midfield with Sands and Juninho Bacuna in more advanced roles ahead of him.

In the attack, it could see Fashion Sakala start on the right – Kemar Roofe has only just returned from injury – and Scott Wright on the left with Morelos up front.

Morelos should be available for this game before jetting out to South America for international duty with Colombia.
