Rangers 'insist' on Andreas Skov Olsen in January, 'preparing a proposal' - report
Rangers are preparing a proposal to sign Andreas Skov Olsen, after ‘insisting’ on signing the winger in January according to Il Resto del Carlino.
Giovanni van Bronckhorst has been linked with a move for the winger to boost his squad options for the second half of the season and beyond as Gers look to retain the Scottish Premiership title.
The club are now looking to take their interest to the next level, with a bid being prepared to bring the Danish international to Ibrox this month.
According to the Italian outfit, Rangers ‘insist’ on a deal being done in January and are preparing a proposal of £4.1million with a bonus and percentage on future resale.
They expect that will be enough to clinch the signing, which would allow Bologna to move for his replacement.
Rangers fans are suckers for an exciting footballer and Skov Olsen certainly fits into that category.
Described as ‘fantastic‘ by Brian Laudrup, Olsen would provide competition in the wide areas with Ryan Kent, Joe Aribo and Ianis Hagi all currently in the forward positions.
The price represents great value for a player with six goals in 15 caps for the Danish national team and at just 22-years-old he is a player with the best years of his career ahead of him.
If Van Bronckhorst and Rangers can get a deal done early in the window, it will stand them in good stead for the restart of the campaign and also allow Olsen that little bit of extra time to gel in with the team.
This deal looks like it is there to be done and if so, it should get the fans properly excited.
