Rangers handed boost to complete Pablo Torre signing

Rangers could be handed a huge boost to secure the services of Racing Santander attacking midfielder Pablo Torre.

According to Spanish media outlet Noticias de Gipuzko, Racing are in dire need of raising money and would be open to his sale.

Also, they’ve set their eyes on Jorge Martinez-Losa, who could be brought in as a replacement for Torre, which means that they’re already preparing for life without the 18-year-old.

It is understood that the Spanish side could be willing to cash in on the player for £2million even though his release clause is a little over three times that.

The report claims that even Real Madrid is keen on signing the young attacker which would mean that there’s something in him.

If Gers are spending that kind of money, there’s a very good chance that he’ll be part of Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s first team.

While he is a central midfielder by trade, he is known for his movements in and around the 18-yard area and the Dutchman could deploy him in a number 10 role.

Torre is known to be a pacey customer who likes drifting wide and letting the game come to him.

At Real he might have to wait before he gets a chance in the first team, but he’s guaranteed to get that at the Ibrox.

He might be having ambitions to play for the biggest club in Spain, but he could still achieve that by using Rangers as a stepping stone.

The defending SPFL champions will also make a massive profit from his sale which would be seen as a fantastic piece of business.

In other Rangers news, the club want to sign a ‘Fantastic’ England international who is 28, and could get him to sign a pre-contract once the January window opens on 1st.
