Ex-BBC pundit shares embarrassing video of Hibernian fans ahead of loss v Rangers
There was more to talk about in the stands than on the pitch as Rangers wo 1-0 against Hibernian at Easter Road on Wednesday night.
Play was halted for a period in the second half when green and blue smoke bombs were thrown onto the pitch.
That was ridiculous and it’s the second match in a row where Gers fans have managed to play a role in a game being held up.
But before the game, the Rangers support showed up the home fans, who produced an embarrassing attempt at a display.
Former BBC Sportsound pundit Tam McManus, who used to play for Hibs, was at Easter Road and shared a video clip of the pathetic display.
It seems like it was meant to say HFC but due to empty seats or some kind of lack of co-ordination, it’s filled with missing gaps and is barely legible.
As for Rangers fans, they lit up the away end and put the home fans to shame with their flare display.
Rangers fans know how to produce a display and while they couldn’t do that at Hibs on Wednesday, they regularly brighten up Ibrox with beautiful and meanginful tifos.
We’re not condoning throwing smoke bombs or any other kind of missiles onto the pitch – especially when they’re aimed towards players.
But when our fans get together and co-ordinate something the stands, it’s usually spectacular and not some weird mess like what Hibs fans produced on Wednesday.
