Derek Ferguson predicts result of Rangers clash v Hearts

Derek Ferguson has backed Rangers to pick up another three points against Hearts this afternoon at Ibrox.

The Bears entertain the Edinburgh-based club in a top-of-the-table clash as they look to assert their dominance in the Scottish Premiership.

Ferguson has predicted that it will finish 2-1 to the champions, as Steven Gerrard’s men return after the international break.

Predicting the scores of the latest round of fixtures in the Scottish Premiership for the BBC, Amy Irons agreed that the Bears will win.

“Amy’s prediction: 2-0,” they wrote.

“Derek’s prediction: 2-1.”

Big win.

Now is the time to kick on for Rangers, there is no doubting that.

Worryingly for the rest of the Scottish Premiership, the Bears are still sitting top despite not getting out of second gear so far since the opening day.

Hearts have been playing some of their best stuff since promotion, and that still sees them sitting behind the Gers, and that must be disheartening to the rest of the division.

Another big win here at Ibrox today would be a statement to the rest of the league that the Rangers of last season have arrived and that must serve as our motivation.

There have been big question marks surrounding the form of this squad, but they are still winning and that is the sign of champions.

Realistically, everyone would take three points no matter what the performance level is today, but it is about time that we match a win with a dominant display for 90 minutes.
