Rangers midfielder Ryan Jack teases return on Instagram

Rangers midfielder Ryan Jack has teased a return on his social media handle after an extended injury layoff.

He was unavailable for the final few weeks of the Gers’ 55th title win and has yet to feature this season.

His last appearance for the Ibrox giants came in February when Steven Gerrard’s men beat Dundee 4-1.

The 29-year-old underwent surgery in the summer, but the Instagram post above suggests that he is very close to returning to training.

While we’re not expecting him until mid-November, seeing him back in training will be a positive and if he manages to feature for the youngsters in a bid to return to full fitness this month, it will be seen as a huge boost.

The Gers have struggled to settle on a midfield three this season and adding Jack may see things get simplified.

Depends on his form post his return, he could slot straight into the eleven and be a regular as the likes of John Lundstram and Steven David have not been consistent this term.

Gerrard is a known admirer of Jack and would be delighted to have him back for selection in a few weeks.

The Gers boss has described him as “fantastic” [Glasgow Times] previously and would be hoping that the surgery has not taken away too much from his game.

We’re hoping that he gets on the training pitch soon and stays fit as this seems to be a long season and the club will need every player possible to rely on.
