Rangers Super Fans hit out over £10m Nathan Patterson claim by Gabby Agbonlahor

Rangers fans have hit out at Gabriel Agbonlahor for suggesting that Nathan Patterson could be sold for just £10million.

The Sun reported earlier this month that the Gers want over £10million for the 19-year-old and Everton are willing to pay that as they bid to strengthen their options at right-back.

Patterson has played just three times in all competitions for the Light Blues this season with captain James Tavernier firmly ahead of him in Steven Gerrard’s pecking order at right-back.

In an interview with Football Insider, ex-Aston Villa striker Agbonlahor agreed that Rangers would accept £10million for Patterson but our panel of Rangers Super Fans disagree.

One wants at least £20million for the Scotland international while another says it “would be stupid” to sell him.

Here is what they had to say:

Steven Gerrard’s team selection doesn’t help matters regarding Patterson because the young right-back is hardly getting a chance to shine.

We understand that Tavernier is the captain and was so good last season but his form this term has been hit and miss. We’d much rather see Patterson come in for certain games and get rotated more often with Tavernier.

Until Patterson plays more, the Gers won’t be able to demand much money for him.

That price tag of £10million sounds fair for us – we cannot expect teams to pay big bucks for someone who isn’t a starter for Gerrard.
