Andy Walker stunned by James Tavernier in Rangers win v St Johnstone
Andy Walker was left stunned by Rangers skipper James Tavernier as he smashed home the winner against St Johnstone.
The right-back curled home an unstoppable drive over Zander Clarke, with a strike good enough to win any game.
Andy Walker was left stunned at McDiarmid Park, and couldn’t help but shower praise on Tavernier for what he had just produced.
Speaking on Sky Sports, Walker couldn’t believe his eyes as he watched the ball loop over Clarke into the top corner.
“Absolute quality from Tavernier,” he said.
“He gets the right amount of control on the shot, he gets unbelievable movement on it, up and over Zander Clarke. Look at the dip on that shot, what a difference that makes.”
Rangers didn’t make it comfortable for anyone watching, but they got there in the end with an absolute piledriver.
Tavernier is known for his magic at Ibrox, but even this one was special for him in Perth.
The performance wasn’t the best we have seen, so has been the case regularly this season, but finding a way to win is the sign of champions, and we did it yet again.
We are sure that this won’t be his last goal of the season, and we expect there to be many more magic moments from the skipper this season.
Three points were the most important thing today, but now the game and tense nature have passed, let’s all take a moment to applaud the magic man yet again.
