Rangers star Glen Kamara reveals there was some interest in him this summer
Rangers star Glen Kamara has been speaking about the interest in his services from other clubs this summer.
Speaking at Finland’s press conference, the 25-year-old revealed that there were clubs keen on his signature from varying leagues [Daily Record].
However, he is 100% committed to the Gers and sounds like he is enjoying life at Ibrox and hints that he could now sign a new contract instead of leaving.
He said: “From what I know, there has been some interest from different teams in different leagues.
“If something had happened, then it would have happened. But it didn’t happen, and the focus is on Rangers, which is something I look forward to.
“There have been, talks and they have been ongoing. We will see what happens. I can’t really tell you much, and I can’t really say more about that.
“Let’s see what happens.”
Kamara to stay now?
The 25-year-old was linked with a move to the Premier League with a few clubs said to be keen.
However, none made an offer, and there was talk that teams in Russia also wanted to sign Kamara but again, nothing happened.
This is all good news for the Gers because it sounds like they are still talking about a new deal, judging by what Kamara said here [The Athletic].
This would surely be brilliant news for the Bears because it should finally stop all the rumours about Kamara leaving the club if they can tie him down to a big contract.
It is pretty clear that Kamara could have left in the last summer transfer window, but we are delighted that he didn’t, and we hope that the Gers seal his new contract soon.
