Rangers fans have hit out at Porto after it was reported an “insulting” bid for Alfredo Morelos was rejected by the Glaswegians.
Calcio Pillole journalist Ekrem Konur reported on Twitter this week that Porto’s offer worth £10.2million, plus a 20 per cent sell-on clause, for the 25-year-old striker had been kicked into touch by the Scottish champions.
Morelos’ future at Ibrox is under scrutiny yet again this summer with the Colombian strongly linked with a move to Porto.
However, our panel of Rangers Super Fans don’t want to see El Bufalo leave for anything near what Porto are reportedly offering for him.
One fan claims that anything under £20million for Morelos is an “insult” while another has called it a “joke”.
Here is what they had to say:
There’s no way that Porto’s reported bid was ever going to be accepted by Rangers.
Morelos was strongly linked with a move to Lille last summer and it was claimed that the Gers rejected an offer worth £16.25million for him [Daily Mail].
If we wanted more than that last summer – we’ll want more than that this summer.
Since that Lille bid was turned down, Morelos has helped fire the Gers to the Premiership title and set himself up for a Champions League qualifying campaign.
They are two massive reasons why he should be valued higher and why Porto are absolutely miles off with that insulting bid.
In other Rangers news, this star player has dropped a hint he wants to quit at Ibrox.
