Rangers want more money than Porto offering for Alfredo Morelos - report
Rangers are yet to agree on a fee to sell Alfredo Morelos to Porto this summer, according to A Bola.
The Portuguese outlet shared the major update on Saturday but did admit that the deal is at an advanced stage.
Porto only wants to spend a maximum of £10.3million, but the Bears are holding out for a minimum of £14.6million.
This seems a more reasonable figure, with Morelos worth much more than what has been suggested before.
It has been reported elsewhere that the Colombian international had agreed personal terms with Porto, although there is still some way to go before this one is complete.
One big benefit the Portuguese club does have is that Morelos wants to move there, and he is also their priority signing this summer.
Steven Gerrard drives a hard bargain, and he won’t be taken for a mug by letting one of his best players leave for peanuts this summer.
Just over £10million for Morelos would be an absolute joke, and someone would need to face the consequences if they allowed that to happen.
It is looking more and more likely by the day that El Bufalo won’t be here next season, and it is something we will have to accept.
Ross Wilson would be laughing if he was given £15million to replace him with though, especially given it took less than half of that to sign Kemar Roofe.
Even if this is inevitable, the Bears must make sure they get what Morelos is worth, and not a cut-price deal, that is essential.
