BBC duo blown away by Glen Kamara for Finland v Russia
BBC duo Martin Keown and Robyn Cowen were blown away by Rangers midfielder Glen Kamara on Monday.
The Finland international starred once again at the EUROs, but couldn’t help his country from losing against Russia.
Keown admitted that he was a huge fan of the Ibrox maestro, after making it back-to-back breakout performances on the biggest stage.
Speaking during the BBC’s live coverage of Finland’s clash with Russia, Keown admitted he was a massive fan of Kamara.
“He’s really bursting onto the ball there, he’s impressed me has Kamara today, as he did in the other game
“He’s really important for Finland.”
The main commentator Cowen agreed, and even shared his well-known and used his nickname as he glided around the park.
“He has been described as a Rolls Royce”
Kamara often glides around the pitch with what looks like minimal effort, but he covers every blade of grass brilliantly.
Rolls Royce is the perfect description, and he is a class above in this Finland side who sit back and look to counter.
Steven Gerrard will be desperate to get his contract sorted out this summer, especially as his performances will put him in the shop window.
Premier League clubs have been credited with an interest, and Kamara shining as he is will only make more join that queue.
Kamara is leaving us with a huge smile on our faces every time he features at the EUROs, something we haven’t been able to say much over the past decade.
