Alex McLeish blown away by Glen Kamara at the EUROs
We’re delighted to welcome former Rangers manager Alex McLeish as our exclusive columnist. Each week he’ll be giving his views on the biggest talking points at Ibrox…
Alex McLeish has been blown away by Rangers midfielder Glen Kamara for his performances with Finland at the EUROs.
The maestro was influential in the 1-0 win over Denmark and shined despite defeat against Russia this afternoon.
After Christian Eriksen’s horrifying accident, McLeish insists it took so much for the players, including Kamara, to return to the action.
Speaking exclusively to Ibrox News, McLeish said, “He looks so natural.
“He looks as though he’s played at four World Cups before, it comes so easy for him, I was a bit alarmed by the whole situation, but there is real pressure for the EUROs to be completed.
“Great credit to Finland and Kamara.”
Kamara is performing at the highest level, and it doesn’t surprise us one little bit.
The midfield master has been doing this ever since he arrived at Ibrox, and is proving why he has links to the Premier League in the EUROs.
It may have ended in defeat today, but this is Finland playing against Denmark and Russia remember, two teams who are expected at every single EUROs.
Kamara is one of the main reasons why his country reached their first-ever major tournament in their history, and he is looking to fire them through the group stage.
McLeish is blown away, and so are all of us as one of our own continues to shine on the biggest stage there is in Europe.
