Ian Crocker stunned by Jermain Defoe in Rangers win v Aberdeen

Ian Crocker was left stunned by Rangers forward Jermain Defoe in the 4-0 victory against Aberdeen on Saturday afternoon.

It was a routine victory at Ibrox, as the Bears finished the season in perfect style as invincible and passing 100 points.

Defoe has been a nuisance off the bench in recent weeks, adding this goal to the one he fired home against Celtic in the past month.

Speaking during live commentary of the clash on Sky Sports, Crocker was blown away as Defoe put the icing on the cake for the mighty Bears.

“Have Rangers got one more in them?” he said.

“Jermain Defoe usually has, he has. The Champions are signing off in style, invincible, incredible.”

Finish in style.

Steven Gerrard will have been watching on with delight as his former England international teammate put the icing on the cake.

Defoe finished expertly and proved his worth by taking his time, letting the defenders go to the ground before smashing into the bottom corner past Joe Lewis.

There are question marks surrounding the future of the veteran, with a new deal yet to be signed by the former Spurs forward.

If we needed more proof that he is worth a punt with a new deal, this was it, and it would be no surprise to see that signed in the coming weeks.

What a season this has been, and with our squad depth getting even better with the likes of Fashion Sakala joining in the final third, this is only the beginning.
