Michael Stewart has been right about Rangers star Ryan Kent all season
Michael Stewart is by no means the most popular of pundits among Rangers fans. In fact, the ex-Hearts and Hibs man sometimes makes Chris Sutton look like a regular at Edminston Drive.
However, there’s no denying that Stewart has been right about Ryan Kent this season with the Gers winger tearing up the Scottish Premiership.
And in recent weeks, Kent has hit his stride and found that consistency, presenting himself as one of the best wingers in the British Isles.
It’s not the only time Stewart has been right about Kent this season, of course.
Kent has now scored 12 goals and supplied 14 assists in 50 appearances across all competitions this season for the Light Blues.
Such is his importance, the ex-Liverpool winger has missed just one Premiership match all season and that was against St Johnstone last month.
In fact, Kent has played in all but four of Rangers’ domestic and European fixtures this term.
He’s recently been nominated for the PFA Scotland Premiership Player of the Year amid a stunning run of form, that Stewart predicted, has shown he’s a top player in this league.

Kent’s not only added numbers to his game in terms of goals and assists this season he also ranks first in the Scottish Premiership for touches inside the box , one-v-one dribbles , key passes and deep completions , which are passes into the danger zone around the opposition’s goal [Wyscout].
For all the anti-Rangers vitriol Stewart spews, at least we can know he was right about one thing this season and that is that Kent is one of the best players in Scottish football.
If he moves on this summer, it would be a huge dent in Rangers’ bid to defend their title next season.
In other Rangers news, there’s been a big financial update shared by Kieran Maguire.
