Bochum want to sign Rangers star Ianis Hagi - report

Bochum have entered negotiations to sign Rangers playmaker Ianis Hagi in the upcoming summer, according to Sport.

The Romanian outlet have reported on their website that the German side have joined the likes of Sevilla and Lazio in the hunt.

Hagi has been in-and-out of the Bears side this season, scoring six goals and adding nine assists in his 28 Scottish Premiership appearances.

This has been described by the website as a “shock” move.

It is clear to see why with Bochum still in the second division of the German Bundesliga and not yet promoted to the top league.

With three games left to play, it is all still in the air with two spots between three clubs to play for at the business end of the season.

Also, Sevilla and Lazio both challenging for European football gives them a huge advantage in trying to persuade him to move away from Ibrox.

One alternative.

Despite these constant links away, the one likely outcome that no one is mentioning is Hagi actually remaining at Ibrox and fighting for his spot.

With the Champions League to come next season, there will be many more opportunities for the Romanian to make more memories, as he has done in the Europa League since arriving.

Only James Tavernier has been involved in more goals this season, and that proves just how good of a season he has despite being rotated heavily.

We can’t see this move happening, with Bochum not yet promoted and unlikely to be able to meet our asking price for the playmaker.
