Rangers are among a number of clubs who are in the hunt to sign BSC Young Boys and Cameroon winger Nicolas Moumi Ngamaleu, according to TeamTalk.
The news website claims English Premier League clubs Leeds, Brighton, Everton and Leicester have also watched over the 26-year-old.
Ngamaleu has made 25 league appearances this season for Young Boys, scoring two goals and supplying five assists to help his team win the Swiss Super League last week.

Squad depth needed
Steven Gerrard has put together a very good team at Ibrox but there’s no denying that Rangers could improve even more.
We’ve seen some wonderful performances this season but more often than not, the Gers have failed to impress as much when Stevie G has made a number of changes.
With Champions League football set to return to the blue half of Glasgow later this year, it really wouldn’t hurt to add more strength in depth and we feel Ngamaleu could add that.
He’s a left-sided winger who could play a superb back-up role to Ryan Kent.
Ngamaleu isn’t a stranger to big games, winning the Swiss Super League multiple times while also earning 14 caps for Cameroon and playing against the likes of Manchester United, Juventus, Bayer Leverkusen and Ajax in Europe. He even played against Rangers in the Europa League last season.
We wouldn’t mind seeing him come in but there are bound to be plenty of left-wingers linked with Ibrox in the coming months with Kent’s future bound to be a talking point.
In other Rangers news, this former Premier League ref was baffled by a handball incident in the draw at St Johnstone.
