Tam McManus hits back at Celtic fan over Twitter post on Ondrej Kudela

Tam McManus has hit back at a Celtic fan who shared his verdict on Ondrej Kudela and Rangers forward Kemar Roofe.

The pundit claimed that the Czech international should have been banned for a year, not 10-games after being found guilty of racially abusing Glen Kamara.

This Celtic fan page compared that to Roofe being handed a four-game ban, something that McManus labelled as “embarrassing.”

Writing on his personal Twitter account, McManus hit back at the Celtic fan and offered him some sensible advice during this troubling time.

“I would delete that if I was you,” he wrote. “Embarrassing.”

Shocking.

You have to got to be kidding.

No matter who you support, and rivalries aside, there is no chance that you can be sticking up for someone like Kudela in this situation, and the comparison is nearly as bad.

Roofe got it wrong, very wrong; but he never went into that collision with Ondrej Kolar with the intention of hurting him.

Compare that to Kudela. The game was halted, and he ran the length of the pitch to whisper in the ear of Kamara, something that Bongani Zungu also heard.

10-games is the smallest punishment that can be handed out by UEFA, so the fact that this Celtic fan suggests it is more than enough is stupid.

This isn’t about football anymore, but racism, and the fact that Kudela will be able to continue with his career in Europe after only nine games, is stupid.

McManus isn’t usually one we agree with on the pitch, but off the pitch, he is clearly speaking sense and making more of a stand than someone such as UEFA.
