Rangers Super Fans decide MOTM in 2-1 win v Hibernian

This is part of a regular series from our panel of Rangers Super Fans. Each week, our Super Fans will deliver their verdicts on the biggest talking points and news stories around Ibrox.

Rangers kept up their unbeaten Scottish Premiership campaign on Sunday as they beat Hibernian 2-1 at Ibrox to move within four games of a season of invincibility.

Joe Aribo and Ryan Kent put the Light Blues two goals to the good but Kevin Nisbet continued his prolific season with his 13th Premiership goal to reduce the deficit in the 78th minute.

It was a nervy finish but Steven Gerrard’s side held firm to rack up a 29th Premiership win that saw the gap to Celtic in second creep up to 20 points again.

The Gers are now within eight points off the 100-point mark as they enter the closing stages of a historic campaign.

We asked our panel of Rangers Super Fans to decide their man of the match after returning to winning ways in the league after a 1-1 draw with Celtic last time out.

Here is what they had to say:

David Rice (@davidrice03)

Tavaldo (a22an)

Barry Ittenson (@BarrySt21172515)

Kyle (@kyleRC_)

Adam Walker (@AdamWal99214879)

John (@johnmasonrtid)

Couldn’t split them

The results from our Super Fans were mixed – two votes for Nathan Patterson and Filip Helander while one of Kent’s couple was shared with Steven Davis.

They were all in the thick of the action with Helander winning more aeriel duels (6) than any player on the pitch [WhoScored] and Kent scoring to top off a livewire display.

Patterson also kept up his impressive recent form as he continues to show he is more than an able deputy for James Tavernier.

The 19-year-old was successful with all of his attempted tackles (three) and dribbles (two).

With his SFA ban appeal due to be heard it remains to be seen how much more game time he will get this season, but he showed he wasn’t affected on Sunday afternoon with another industrious performance against Hibs.
