Rangers playmaker Ianis Hagi has appeared in an advert for next seasons’ Champions League in partnership with Lays.
The Bears will be back in Europe’s biggest competition after finally ending the decade-long wait to win the Scottish Premiership.
Alongside Hagi in the first advert was Barcelona’s Lionel Messi and Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba; both huge global stars.
Speaking to the Business Review after the shoot, Hagi was clearly thrilled that he could be involved in the advert for such a big competition.
“It was a very interesting shooting given the fact that the coordinating team was in Romania and I was in Glasgow, at 3km distance,” he said.
“But it was fun, and it is a pleasure to collaborate with Lays. I am happy to be part of this campaign and I hope the fans will appreciate the messages. I can just encourage you to stay close to my social media pages because, together with Lays, I have prepared a lot of surprises for you.”
We already know that we are one of the biggest clubs in the world, the most successful domestic side ever; if you didn’t know.
Finally, we have the opportunity to prove ourselves on the biggest scale back in the Champions League next season.
Steven Gerrard knows that it isn’t a given though, with the Gers needing to get past the qualifiers before they can claim their place.
Who knows? Hagi could be rubbing shoulders against the likes of Messi and Pogba next season, and it has been far too long since players like that have graced the Ibrox turf.
