Rangers fans drool over Joe Aribo's performance against Dundee United

Rangers showed little sign of a Europa League hangover as they breezed past Dundee United on Sunday, winning 4-1 at Ibrox.

There were early signs of sluggishness and Lawrence Shankland should have scored for the visitors.

Allan McGregor had to be at his best to keep the scores level and after that hiccup the Gers dominated.

Joe Aribo was the pick of the bunch and played a key role in the opening goal.

He twisted and turned in the box before firing off a left-foot shot that was deflected into the net by Ianis Hagi.

Another deflected effort doubled Rangers’ lead, with Ryan Kent’s shot giving us a 2-0 lead at half-time.

Aribo burst out of the blocks just after the break and fired a brilliant effort into the top corner from just outside the box.

There is no keeper on the planet who would be able to stop such an effort, and it wrapped up the three points early on.

We added a fourth later on after United’s goalkeeper Benjamin Siegrist attempted a clearance that was charged down by Alfredo Morelos into his own goal.

Borna Barisic failed to convert a penalty after that but since he scored two on Thursday we can forgive him.

Aribo was very impressive despite playing 90 minutes in midweek.

His two successful dribbles and one key pass, as well as a goal and assist, earned him a WhoScored rating of 8.5.

Here is what Rangers fans thought of his performance.
