Steven Gerrard has heaped praise on the SPFL officials, calling them “Terrific” despite numerous calls going against Rangers this season.
The SFA compliance officers have become involved more than once this season, handing recent bans to Alfredo Morelos and Kemar Roofe.
Gerrard has claimed that making referees full-time in Scotland and handing them technology such as goal-line technology will be a massive help.
Speaking in his press conference on Friday, as shared on Twitter, Gerrard called for more changes to help the officials during games.
“The referees do a terrific job considering they are part-time,” he said.
“If we can give them more support financially to become full-time and introduce goal-line technology it will help improve the game for everyone in Scotland.”

It is hard to agree that the officials have been terrific this season.
The Bears have been hit with plenty of charges compared to others that have hardly been touched – take the Darren McGregor stamp in the Hibernian draw.
Where we do agree, these changes need to be made.
If the officials were full-time and had the technology available to them, they would be perfectly equipped to make sure that these things don’t happen every single week.
We aren’t desperate to see VAR introduced, but there are still other major changes that could be made to help eradicate these problems.
The quicker we don’t have to speak about this every single week, the better.
