Jordan Jones shares Instagram message after Rangers exit, Alfredo Morelos responds

Rangers outcast Jordan Jones finally sealed his exit from Ibrox this week, moving to League One side Sunderland on loan.

The Northern Ireland international wasn’t in the plans of Steven Gerrard but fell even further down the pecking order after breaching COVID-19 regulations.

After serving his SFA ban for that breach, Jones will have been hoping to break back into the fold at Ibrox, but this move proves there was no chance of that.

Jones has taken to his personal Instagram account on Friday evening, wishing Rangers the best of luck and sharing how “grateful” he is for the move.

One of those to respond was Alfredo Morelos, although not many of the current first-team squad decided to do the same.

These two are never far away from the headlines.

Where they do differ though, is how they deliver once they are out on the pitch for the Bears or whoever they play for.

Morelos once again smashed home the winner against Hibernian, showing that he can mix his poor discipline with results for Gerrard.

Jones has been nothing short of shocking.

The 26-year-old has only completed 152 minutes in the Scottish Premiership this season, and he made sure he would never feature for the club again when breaching those COVID regulations.

With Scott Wright coming in from Aberdeen in the summer, it appears as though there is no way back for Jones, with this loan exit surely the beginning of the end at Ibrox for the winger.
