Rangers finally got the job done in their 3-1 victory over Motherwell on Saturday afternoon to bounce back from the midweek disappointment.

It was all about the reaction after that St. Mirren defeat, and it didn’t start well after Callum Lang opened the scoring at Ibrox.

Two goals from Kemar Roofe either side of a Cedric Itten header late on made sure of all three points, showing a different side to this Bears outfit.

St Mirren

Roofe has really started to hit the ground running.

After arriving from Anderlecht, it took some time for the striker to find his feet in Scotland, as well as his fitness after struggling with injuries.

With Alfredo Morelos not having the best of times either, it was crucial that he stepped up, and that is exactly what he has done.

Roofe’s two goals on Saturday may have looked simple, but they were superb. When dominating games, you need that poacher who can score from any angle around the goal, and he did that expertly.

The 27-year-old is only three behind James Tavernier in the Scottish Premiership now and is hunting down that Golden Boot award during his maiden season.

The striker is doing it efficiently too, averaging fewer shots on goal per game than Ryan Kent and Morelos this season according to WhoScored.

Many Rangers fans have reacted to the performance of Roofe, and it was no surprised to see them blown away by the talisman.

One even went as far as to suggest that the striker was the best piece of business that Steven Gerrard has done during his spell in charge in Glasgow.
