TalkSPORT presenter Adrian Durham has claimed that the only way Celtic can beat Rangers to the title this season is to ‘get in Gerrard’s head’.
The Gers currently have a 13 point lead over their Old Firm rivals with the Hoops performing well below expectations this season.
Speaking on TalkSPORT, Durham claimed that Celtic have to appoint a ‘stellar’ manager to try and disrupt the ‘stability’ at Ibrox.

He said, “If Celtic want to win the ten in a row, the only way forward now is to try and derail the confidence and stability at Rangers.
“The only way they’re going to do that is if they appoint a stellar manager. That’s the only thing. To try and get in Gerrard’s head, otherwise, it’s a done deal.”
Pressure is beginning to mount on Neil Lennon but Celtic released a statement on Monday evening in which they continued to back their under-fire manager.
Celtic do have two games in hand on the Gers but they face an almighty task if they are to successfully retain the Scottish Premiership this season.
Rangers are still unbeaten this term and Gerrard’s side would have to lose at least two league games to allow Celtic to catch them.
Of course, the Hoops are still due to play the Gers on at least two more occasions this season but they would, in likelihood, need to keep up a 100% record before the next Old Firm game in January to have a chance of wrestling the lead back.
Considering Celtic’s dire situation it remains to be seen if any ‘stellar’ managers would be interested in taking the reigns at Parkhead and having a go at stopping Rangers from winning the title.
