Rangers continued their winning run on Sunday, sweeping aside Ross County in a simple outing in Dingwall.
Kemar Roofe opened the scoring in the first half, and it was James Tavernier and Jermain Defoe who put the game beyond doubt in the 4-0 thrashing.
It wasn’t straight forward in the Highlands though and County were more than stubborn against the untouchable Bears.
Many expected Rangers to blow Ross County away from the first whistle, but it took more than half an hour to open the scoring.
Step forward, Steven Davis. With the home side sat deep behind the ball, his first-time pass split the defence and set Tavernier on his way to assist Roofe’s finish.
Rangers stubborn defence and free-scoring attack have taken many plaudits this season, with players such as Davis slipping under-the-radar despite his contributions in both thirds.
The veteran midfielder goes about his business quietly, and his experience is becoming a vital weapon for the Bears in this title charge.
Davis is the main pivot in Steven Gerrard’s midfield, and he has once again proved his worth as Rangers secure another easy three points.
Many Rangers fans have reacted to the performance of Davis, who appears to be getting better and better with age.
The majority singled out his pass in the opening goal as the highlight, comparing him to the likes of Andres Iniesta and Xavi.
