Steven Gerrard and James Tavernier have been awarded the SPFL manager and player of the month awards and Rangers fans are absolutely delighted.
It seems there’s no stopping Rangers at the moment and they kept up their unbeaten start to the season across all competitions with a 3-2 win over Standard Liege on Thursday night.
Tavernier and Gerrard have been rewarded after a month that saw Rangers win all three Premiership games, scoring 13 and conceding 0. They wrapped up an incredible month with a 4-0 win over Falkirk in the League Cup.
The news was announced on the official Rangers Twitter account on Friday morning.

Tavernier has been racking up some quite incredible numbers of his own. He’s scored nine goals in the Premiership so far this season – not bad for a striker let alone a right-back. Four of these goals came in November.
He also scored in the 4-0 win against Falkirk.
One fan said that Tav has “been a different player all together this season, phenomenal.”
Another fan said it was “unbelievable” that both awards are heading to Rangers.
To be fair, there’s not much competition in Scotland either on or off the pitch at the moment, with Celtic in absolute freefall.
And Gers aren’t taking their foot off the pedal as they home in on their first silverware of the Gerrard era.
Here are the best reactions from Rangers fans for whom the good news just keeps on coming…
Unbelievable 👏🏻
