Derek Ferguson was blown away by Rangers defender Borna Barisic in the 4-0 thrashing of Falkirk on Sunday evening.
The Croatian international scored a wonderful free-kick, and also delivered an inch-perfect cross for James Tavernier to volley home.
Ferguson believes that every Bears fan will expect Barisic to find the back of the net whenever he steps up for any set-piece.
Speaking on the Blues Brothers Podcast, Ferguson was blown away by the technique on display from the Croatian once again.
“Every one of the goals was absolutely superb,” he said.
“Certainly Barisic, free-kick, top corner, you expect it now. That’s the kind of worrying thing, every time he steps up you just think he’s going to put it in the top-bin.
“Obviously, Tavernier’s goal, Barisic, again, great delivery.”
Barisic has struggled at points this season, but he has certainly turned a corner.
With Tavernier scoring and assisting in nearly every single game, it appears his fellow defender is starting to join the party more regularly.
The 28-year-old has scored twice and added eight assists in all competitions, and certainly caught the eye on Sunday.
Barisic only had an expected goal total of 0.11 against Falkirk, but he still managed to find the net – with his set-piece ability a real weapon for the Bears moving forward.
Rangers have found a way to score from every area of the pitch at Ibrox, and that is one of the main reasons behind their success this season – long may it continue.
