'It will be hard' - Fabio Cardoso makes major Rangers transfer prediction
Former Rangers defender Fabio Cardoso has predicted that Alfredo Morelos will leave Ibrox in the next 12 months.
Morelos was heavily linked with a move away from Rangers this summer but no clubs met the Gers valuation of one of their prized assets.
But, Cardoso believes this won’t be the case for much longer and claimed that the Colombian forward will be gone in the next year.
Cardoso is quoted by The Daily Record as saying: “It will be hard for Rangers to keep Alfredo for much longer. He’s done very well there, he’s a goal machine. He’s a physical player who has improved a lot in Scotland.
“He has worked hard to improve and be smarter on the pitch. But if I had to make a prediction, I’d say that Alfredo will move in the next year.”
The former Gers defender now plays Santa Clara in the Primeira Liga following his departure from Ibrox in 2018 after being rarely selected following the sacking of Pedro Caixinha.

The Daily Record recently reported quotes from Ross Wilson where the Gers Sporting Director claimed that the club had an agreement with Morelos that if the right offer came in he would be allowed to leave.
It is thought that Lille were the only club to make a concrete offer for the Colombian but their bid fell below Rangers’ asking price.
Morelos remains a Gers player for the time being but he hasn’t been up to his usual goalscoring standards this season.
The 23-year-old recently went on a goalless eight-game run in all competitions and he only has three goals to his name in 10 Scottish Premiership appearances.
There may be less interest in Morelos in the January transfer window if he continues his below-par form but it is starting to seem inevitable that his days at Ibrox are numbered.
In other Rangers news, we believe Celtic have handed the Gers a golden opportunity after the Hoops slipped up on Saturday.
