Ibrox View: Stunning Castore kit 'leak' will surely get Rangers pulses racing
RANGERS OPINION
Speculation remains rife over the identity of Rangers’ next kit manufacturer.
According to an update from Football Insider, sources from inside Ibrox have revealed that the Gers have agreed a five-year deal with Liverpudlian brand Castore, believed to be worth around £20 million.
The company already supply tennis icon Andy Murray with his kit, and are understood to be losing at making in-roads into football over the coming seasons.
That would make the Gers one of their first clients in the beautiful game, but it doesn’t leave us with many clues as to what a Castore kit would actually look like.
On Monday, however, we were treated to an apparent leak of the brand’s plan for the Gers, and it’s an absolute cracker.

Now, it’s important to recognise that this is just speculation, and that there is no confirmation that this is what a Castore strip would look like, but if it does, we are in for a treat.
Simple and classic with minimal detailing, the design harks back strongly to the kits produced by Umbro during the mid ’80s.
This looks like a shirt that would be fondly remembered by fans for years to come.
The away kit is a similarly impressive affair, and would see us switch from red to white, with navy trim.
Again, it is simple, has a real timeless quality to it, and would surely be a hit amongst fans.
Of course, it’s a matter of opinion, and there will be supporters who are not keen on these designs at all, but here at Ibrox News, we would be more than happy if this is how the Gers turn out next season.
