Saint-Etienne are in the hunt to sign Rangers forward Alfredo Morelos, according to French news outlet Sport.FR.
Morelos, 23, has been in impressive goalscoring form ever since joining the Gers from HJK Helsinki in 2017, scoring 77 goals in 137 total appearances.
This season, the Colombia international has netted 29 goals in 46 appearances across all competitions but has failed to find the back of the net in the Scottish Premiership since Boxing Day.
Sport.FR now reports that the race for his signature is hotting up with Saint-Etienne closely monitoring the forward in recent months while Atletico Madrid are also hot on his heels.
Morelos is a player who can score goal after goal but his disciplinary record has always been something that has worried Rangers fans.
In his 137 appearances for the Light Blues, Morelos has been sent off seven times while he has also been at the centre of plenty off-the-ball incidents where he could have been shown red more often.
However, the fact remains that Morelos is a prolific goalscorer and Rangers have been lucky to have him for the last three years.
Is he good enough to shine in Ligue 1 or La Liga? We will only find out if those moves happen but we hope that Morelos can stay put at Ibrox for the foreseeable future.
