Report - English PL giants plot raid for Rangers 24y/o mainstay

Rangers have pulled off some absolute coups in the transfer market in recent times.

Whether it's snapping up Alfredo Morelos for a pittance from Finland, or nabbing Jermain Defoe on a loan deal from Premier League side Bournemouth, the Gers know a bargain when they see one.

And no deal has exemplified that better recently than their swoop for Glen Kamara.

The 24-year-old cost the Bears just £50,000 from Dundee, and he honestly looks like one of the most savvy pieces of business Scottish football has seen for quite some time.

In fact, the midfield enforcer has been so good of late that he is said to be attracting interest from the English top flight.

According to a report from the Daily Mail, Arsenal have sent scouts to the Gers' last six matches to get the lowdown on a player they released from their U23s back in 2017.

That really speaks volumes as to the level that the Finnish international is operating at.

The Gunners are not the force they once were, of course, but they are still a top level club with one of the biggest modern histories in the English game.

For them to eyeing up Kamara it really goes to show just how influential he has been in the centre of the park this term.

From a Rangers perspective, losing him would be fairly gutting, but with a contract that runs until the summer of 2023, as per Transfermarkt, you would hope that he is committed to staying put, or at the very least, that they can make a decent amount of money if he is sold.

This one is seemingly still in its earliest stages, but it will be interesting to see what, if anything, ever comes of it.
