Rangers supporters will have plenty of reasons to be delighted today after that emphatic win over bitter rivals Celtic at Parkhead.

The Gers ran the defending champions off the pitch for much of the game, and the Ibrox faithful were treated to two fantastic goals too.

On top of that, the gap at the top of the table is now just two points with a game in hand, and the momentum has definitely shifted in the Bears’ favour as the title race reaches its midpoint.

But if there was anything that could possibly make the win ever sweeter, it would surely be the opportunity to wind up perennial Celtic cheerleader Chris Sutton.

The ex-Hoops hitman has been a vocal critic of the Gers in the past, questioning the talent of both James Tavernier and Alfredo Morelos in the build-up to the clash on Sunday.

So it was particularly nice to be able to shut him up, even if it is just for a little while.

And it would appear that Robbie Savage took just as much pleasure out of rubbing it in his face too.

Writing on his personal Twitter account after the game, he said: “My internet has gone down Chris Sutton, what is the final score?

“Anyone help me please… Chris… Chris???”

Savage then sent another tweet saying: “Chris… Chris… Where’s Chris anyone?

“Chris Sutton, where are you?”

Savage loves winding up his colleague, and he’s stitched him up here.

Sutton is so bullish about the Hoops that he is always setting himself up for a fall when they get beaten, and boy were they beaten on Sunday.

2-1 may look like a close scoreline, but at no point did they ever really look like getting the better of the Gers, and on another day, things could have been a whole lot worse for Sutton and his darlings.
