These Rangers fans react as first-team star signs new contract until 2023

Ryan Jack signed a new contract at Rangers on Tuesday that will see him stay at Ibrox until 2023, and fans are absolutely delighted.

The news was announced on the official Rangers Twitter account where the 27-year-old midfielder said he was “Over the moon” with the new deal.

“I’m looking forward to the future now,” Jack said. “With the length of contract the club has given me, I hope to repay that in the next three-and-a-half years.”

Jack’s current deal was due to expire in the summer of 2021 after he signed from Aberdeen two years ago.

Since then, he’s played 83 times and has really upped his game this season and become a mainstay under Steven Gerrard. He’s played 16 times this season but missed a few games with a knock.

He should be back for the Porto game on Thursday after Gerrard said he was due back in training this week.

Plenty of fans hailed his impact this season and are also over the moon that he’s signed a new contract. Some want to see him as the next Rangers captain.
